OUR JOURNEY
ABR fabrications started trading in September 1997 with just 3 employees in a small 1500 Sq Ft unit, with the aim to supply quality stainless steel fabrications to the oil and food industry. By 2005 we had secured contracts with some of the leading names in the industry, Proseal UK, Hydratron and Mill Room Mixing to name a few, this enabled us to expand into a 5,000 Sq Ft unit and grow our team to 8.
Just 2 years later we were growing rapidly and moved into the adjoining unit, doubling our floor space allowing us to employ some of the best stainless-steel fabricators from around the Northwest.
In 2007 we made the decision to invest in our first Trumpf Laser Profiling Machine to accelerate our production, bringing this process in house ensured a quick and reliable service to our customers.
Over the next 3 years as we continued to grow and our new capabilities enabled us to become the ‘fabricators fabricator’ companies from all over the Northwest were now using ABR as a one stop shop, utilising our services and our team for their own specialist stainless parts.
This demand meant we had to upgrade our capabilities further, in 2010 we purchased one of the first Trumpf 3Kw fiber lasers in the UK along with a 3 metre, 120 tonne CNC Press Brake, as well as a Flat Bed Polishing Machine.
As we continued our journey 2013 saw us acquire a 14,000 Sq Ft Premises, the purchase of a second 6Kw laser and another Trumpf Press Brake. The purchase of these new machines ensured there was no interruption to our production when moving, the needs of our customers are always at the forefront of what we do. Since then, we have expanded into the adjoining unit, added a third Trumpf Brake Press and second flatbed polisher.
25 years on and we now have a strong team of over 40 employees, who we believe are the best in the industry, they have extensive knowledge in the manufacturing of stainless-steel fabrications and pride themselves in the quality of their work.
This journey has allowed us to offer quality fabrications at low costs with extremely fast lead times alongside an unbeatable customer service.
